Our June 2018, Part 1

Our friend, Tanner Guisinger, returned from Saudi Arabia to visit before he headed to summer term at BYU.  He stayed with us for a few days and we were so glad he did.  He’s the politest kid and a joy to be around.

Our last lunch date!

Katrina began taking piano lessons from the fabulous Marigaie in April.  She and Natalie had their year-end piano recital.  Marigaie also asked Natalie to play her cello so she and Max performed “A Thousand Years.”  It was marvelous to hear them all play.  Music blesses our lives so very much and hearing them play makes me a happy momma.

The girls loved the filter they found on my phone.  This is a mere sampling of their creations.

Natalie had her last orchestra concert of the year……

….. and so did Katrina! It was fun to accompany the 5th graders.

Speaking of 5th graders, these cuties had a graduation-from-elementary-school party that I was able to help a little at.  Moving on to middle school next year. Crazy! But these girls are ready!

We had some Adamses come visit this month!  That meant that we got to meet our new nephew/cousin Leo!  Isn’t he squishable and cute?  Stu and Gel came to see Les Mis and passed through a few times so we could hang out.

The girls loved taking care of little Eva.  They all loved their ice cream!

Eva liked listening to Natalie play her cello.

Bradley and Megan came to see Les Mis also.  I was touched when they sent this picture of Megan in Mara’s special spot.

Katrina got to participate in Junior Olympics. I wasn’t able to attend but word on the street is that she is a fast runner!

Sadie wanted to document this poster because she worked so hard on it and learned so much about Clara Barton- a nurse who started the Red Cross.

I was able to go help Sadie’s class with field day.  I got a station indoors where it was nice and cool.

Natalie and Lindsey= best buds

Katrina, Sadie (and Leah) attended a Tea Party at Activity Days.  My favorite feature of the evening was that they all spoke in British accents.

Last day of school for these girls!

The week after graduation, Max went to Ephrata to work.  Grandpa Bair knew right away of a few jobs he could help with.  This particular picture was taken by Kyle who had Max help with some potato sampling. We are so lucky that we can usually find work in Eastern WA for the kids.

Katrina and her adorable kinder buddy.

Sadie had such a great year with Mrs. Eisenbaucher.  She was such a great teacher and loved Sadie right back.

Last day of school buddies.

Katrina’s friend Karen moved here from Egypt.  Katrina tucked her under her wing and they became great friends.

What a great year with Mrs. Kearney!  She truly understood and loved Katrina.  She motivated her and nurtured that smart brain of hers.  Katrina made this cross stitch creation for her.

Kat’s 5th grade class.

Last day of school riding home on the bus.

To celebrate their graduation from elementary school we went with a few buddies to Flying Circus.  It was our first time there and the kids will definitely be asking to go back.

These little sibs didn’t want to miss out on the festivities.

These two cuties must have had a lot to talk about because they asked if they could walk home from school on the last day.
